I have a very specific revenge fantasy in mind for the person that stole my Amazon package with a spool of solder in it. I hope you open that package, pal, and I hope it confuses you. I hope you don’t know what the hell it is.
I hope, in your darkened den, in your hive of scum and villainy and stolen impulse purchases, you go to Google to try and determine what that spool of solder is and if it’s valuable. I hope that when you find it’s worth all of $7 you pivot to “If I can’t sell it, can I use it?”
And I hope that leads you to discover microcontrollers.
I hope that leads to uncountable sleepless nights learning about electronics. I hope you learn about LEDs and LCDs, and I hope you learn about electric motors and photoelectric sensors.
I hope it leads to impulse purchases on your own. Circuit boards and a soldering iron. Lights and sensors and adapters. Project enclosures. Radios. I hope you discover how fun it is to light something up based on code you just learned, or your own wireless temperature sensor.
I hope your projects get bigger & more weird. I hope you build a security system, or an insecurity system. An instantiated virtual pet. A drone to airdrop the secrets of other bystanders.
I hope your projects make the world more interesting.
That would be my best revenge.
